Year 12 Formal

Earlier this year before I was diagnosed with Lymphoma I had my school prom. At that time my doctor had diagnosed me with Neuphrotic Syndrome, as swelling condition to do with the kidneys. I was running often and eating very little, mostly salads and tea, thinking I was getting fat. But it turned out to be not fat but water retention due to my condition. I may not look overweight in the photos but under my red silky prom dress were tree trunk legs full of water. It made wearing heels very uncomfortable. I had a great night nonetheless with my friends and my prom partner Michael. When I danced and spun I felt like Katniss from the Hunger Games in her red dress, which I though was pretty cool! I bought my beautiful dress from Hills in Hollywood in Brisbane. I was inspired by Nina Dobrev's stuning red dress I found online, the dress I bought was the closest one to hers I could find. My nude point shoes were from Nine West and my earings, ruby ring, diamond heart necklace and bracelet were all family heirlooms.I had my hair done at my local hairdressers and my make up was done by Napoleon. I kept my nails natural with just a clear coat of polish. I had a cute frilly cream clutch with a crystal studded handle. I had a great professional photographer Katey's Captuers take photos for me as well as my mum.
