Flora and Fauna Gala The Nature of Fashion

The Flora and Fauna Gala was definitely a lovely night to remember.
Music, Food and Fashion, in other words my perfect night.
It marked a big milestone for me as it was one of my first large gigs.
I performed a range of tunes, a few of my favourites being Young and Beautiful by Lana del Ray, Wings by Birdy, Fleetwood Mac's Dreams, Cant Help Falling in Love by Elvis and some of my favourite old jazz classics like Cant help Lovin Dat Man of Mine and Someone to Watch Over Me, as well as my own song Vincristine.

This happened for an hour whilst guests arrived, coming through the candle lit pathway below Fairymead House sipping champagne and canapés.

It was such an incredible opportunity for me and I am so thankful to Bundaberg Regional Galleries for asking me to be a part of this special event.
I was lucky enough to perform in a very funky vintage 1960s jumpsuit, part of Charlotte Smiths Darnell Collection. Thank you also Charlotte for giving me the beautiful piece of the collection to perform in.

Over dessert I chatted to Akira Isogawa, one of Australia's most Iconic fashion designers. My good friend and fashion blogger for the event Theo Delaney has an interview post on his blog which I will link below. Akira was so interesting to listen to and I am so grateful I was able to meet him.

The veranda of Fairymead House looked stunning. I was in awe over the pink roses and greenery that dangled from the ceiling not to mention the beautifully decorated tables.

The Lemon Myrtle Sorbet was divine!
